CATRIN FINCH is one of our most treasured classical harpists, and possibly the most gifted classical harp virtuoso of our times.
She took us on a musical journey throughout her life, and talked about some of her influences inspirations and musical challenges, which have, at times, taken her outside the conventions of classical training to perform globally.
Catrin took us on a journey of variety and colour, with some challenges outside the boundaries of convention. Her unique style of percussive rhythms were reminiscent of her time in Patagonia. Fun loving with intrigue and mesmerising, her arrangement of Mosquito delighted the audience.
Altogether an incredible journey by an incredibly talented, skilled, motivated lady who made her harp sing to the appreciative and welcoming audience in St. Cadoc’s Church Caerleon.
