Join William Byrne and Laura Hayward at The Priory, for an evening of Music from award winning album – ‘Goldenhair’ followed by Cabaret.
‘Goldenhair’ is a song suite setting to music the poetry of renowned Irish poet, James Joyce. The music for this album was composed by Los Angeles-based Golden Globe-nominated Irish composer, Brian Byrne, William Byrne’s cousin.
William Byrne and Laura Hayward, are recent residents of Newport bringing this unique music experience to the Caerleon Arts Festival for it’s 2024 programme.
The evening will include song selections from the album with poetry readings from local poets, performances from local live musicians and thoughts on the compositions by the composer. The second will William and Laura joined by a host of local performers and musicians as they sing a selection of popular and standard classics from Musical Theatre, Disney and much more.
