Amairgin the Gael
Amairgin the Gael is the only Welsh branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. It promotes Irish music and culture in South Wales.
In 2023 it was relaunched in Gwent in collaboration with good friends at Gwent Music. Music lessons take place at Malpas Court Primary School Grounds, Whittle Dr, Newport NP20 6NS
All ages and abilities are welcome to come to these traditional Irish music classes that run on Tuesday evenings with a beginners’ class at 6.30pm and intermediates at 7.30pm. The current charge is £5 per night.
