CRAFTS ON THE FESTIVAL MEADOW
This is the year that the Caerleon Festival celebrates its 21st Birthday! Hooray!
Over the years, that is, since the start of the Festival, there has been much activity on the Festival Meadow – a field that has been transformed in recent years into a wonder of wildflowers.
Apart from music, song and dance – with drums, soloists, choirs and even bells, all have been heard at one time or other and we are set to hear many again this year! Crafts people coming from near and far, will demonstrate their crafts.
In and amongst all this activity there will be the many, many arts & craft marquees of people who make a wide variety of pieces from items of jewellery, ceramics/pottery, glass, fabrics, weaving, embroidery, knitted garments of all sizes and colour – and so it will be this year over the BIG FREE weekend Saturday 8th July and 9th July.
If it is very, very hot – there will be deck chairs for resting.
See you there with an ice cream or cake or……whatever there will be on offer!!
