Velha Bataria is a street samba band based in Caerleon and Chepstow with over 20 active members.
The group have been performing at the Caerleon Festival for the past three years and are really looking forward to returning again this year.
It is predominantly a drumming band playing a variety of Brazilian Samba instruments, performing a range of upbeat Rio-style music including Samba Reggae, Samba Funk. Original pieces have been written by their very talented Musical Director and Band Leader, Noel.
This style of music has a real carnival vibe that gives everybody a taste of authentic Brazil and will certainly get you in the mood for dancing!
