Getting to Caerleon

Caerleon lies within the geographical area of Newport, South Wales, some three miles from Newport City centre, and railway station, and two miles off Junctions 24 and 25 of the M4 motorway.

The village itself sits on the banks of the tidal River Usk which flows into the Severn Estuary. The Romans maintained a fortress here for 400 years leaving behind an Amphitheatre, barracks, Baths and many other related artefacts (one or two of them are members of the current Committee!).
