To set the scene for the 15th Annual Caerleon Festival, volunteers, aided by Kate Mobbs Morgan and her team of Ardennes horses, Kip and Sol, have been preparing the Festival Field for the Arts/Crafts Fayre on Saturday & Sunday 15th July – 16th July.
This work is also part of the Gateway Project to transform wasteland to wildflower meadow. See Gallery of photos showing them at work.

Shakespeare’s “Merry Wives of Windsor” in the Roman Amphitheatre with Choir and prosecco is the start. By the way, on Sunday 9th July The Velothon cyclists will be powering their way through Caerleon. At 4.30pm tarry at the St. Julian Inn to watch the river flow and listen to “Spellbound”, a band guaranteed to chill and thrill in equal measure. Free of course.
