Caerleon Festival

CORONAVIRUS – latest update.

THE CAERLEON FESTIVAL IS POSTPONED.

Celf Caerleon Arts is committed to safeguarding the health and safety of all.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused us to review our plans for 2020 in the context of evolving circumstances.

Taking into account – the danger of transmission to people of all ages; the vulnerability of people aged 70+ and those with existing medical problems; the need to consider others; and the pressure on our NHS: AND best advice – avoiding non-essential contact (social distancing/keeping one’s distance from others; avoidance of crowds; self isolation);

We have concluded that the safety of all – the public, performers, exhibitors, organisers, volunteers, stewards and the community at large – can not be ensured.

It is with great regret therefore that we postpone the Daoiri Farrell concert and Summer Festival events with a view to them being held in 2021 when hopefully the threat to health has passed.  In the meantime, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible when it is safe to do so.

Are we disappointed?  Yes.  Are we downhearted?  No.

The planning for this year has been considerable, but

ALL IS NOT LOST.

WHAT WAS PLANNED FOR 2020, our 18th year, WILL BE

THE BLUEPRINT FOR FESTIVAL 2021!

NORMAL SERVICE WILL BE RESUMED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Tim  Caerleon Festival Chair (age 74 years)
