SONGS of PRAISE at St Cadoc’s Church

Festival Songs of Praise

St. Cadoc’s Church lies in the heart of Caerleon, the largest of the four churches in our Ministry Area; and it is with great pleasure that we become part of the Caerleon Arts Festival every year.

The church is open to visitors from 11a.m. – 4p.m. every day. Anyone who needs to take time out or to pray in beautiful, peaceful surroundings is welcome; or feel free to wander the churchyard, where our wooden sculpture Consolation, one of the first pieces of Arts Festival work, is on display and is both tactile and calming.

On Friday 12th July St. Cadoc’s will present a production by the University of South Wales Contemporancient Theatre Group. This play, “Cadoc and the Drowned Boys” has been funded to be performed in venues named for the saint.

However, our first event will be Songs of Praise, with the choir of St.Woolos Cathedral under their Director of Music, Dr. Emma Gibbins, as a thanksgiving for the work of the Caerleon Arts Festival.
