Spring finally arrived a little while ago, and it was taken as a signal for the Annual Meadow Path Mow.
On a lovely Sunday morning, Caerleon Festival volunteers cut and cleared foot paths through the meadow, to encourage and enable visitors to venture in to see what is growing this year, enjoy the sculptures and make use of the seating that has been provided.
This event has come to be regarded as the official Festival start of Summer and the opening up of the Meadow.
It didn’t take long for the dozen or so volunteers to rake away the cuttings, and then recover at the Hanbury with a cold beer.
Why don’t you join them next time?
