A discerning audience of locals and visitors from as far afield as London, Birmingham and Carmarthen came to enjoy something special in the acoustic clarity of Caerleon’s St. Cadoc’s Church.
They were not disappointed but well rewarded. Paul Hutchinson on piano accordion and Karen Wimhurst on a clutch of clarinets delivered a virtuoso performance of their special folk jazz-fusion. Difficult to describe and categorise – let us just say the music soared, surprised, mesmerised, inducing journeys of the mind, it dazzled. It was a thoroughly absorbing and memorable evening.
