Christmas comes early to Caerleon!

Christmas will be celebrated throughout the town of Caerleon on Saturday, 10th December. 

 The Caerleon Festival will hold its Farmers’ Market in the Town Hall from 10 until 4 Expect delicious food, delicacies and beverages, local quality crafts, shopping solutions and seasonal music.

 Nearby, the National Roman Legion Museum will be hosting a Saturnalia Party from 11 until 4 celebrating the return of the sun with food and fun!  There will be Roman party food, gambling with Roman soldiers, Roman gifts to make and so much more – activities for all, Roman style.

 Storytelling in the Roman Fortress Baths at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm, will be a tempting prospect. Why not come and immerse yourself in a good story?

 The Mayor of Newport, Cllr. David Atwell will announce the winner of the Best Dressed Shop Window Competition and officially launch Christmas at 4. Carols on the Common will follow until 6 with music around the Christmas tree from the Caerleon Comprehensive School Brass Band.
