Despite stiff competition from the Wales v Belgium football match, a good size crowd gathered in St. Cadoc’s Church for an evening packed with interest – so much so that timings were adjusted to accommodate all who were appearing.
The Allegra Ladies Choir delivered a lively session spiced with gospel music preparing the way for poetry. Robin Ganderton proved that he was one to watch.
Mike Jenkins amused and entertained rounding off with a dazzling harmonica rendition of “The Old Grey Whistle Test”. Finally, Owen Sheers delighted everyone with poetry and insights into the mysterious process of writing. A stimulating question and answer session followed. Timekeeping was precise – allowing everyone to watch the second half and a momentous win for Wales.
A memorable evening.
