Any doubts that the new marquee on the Priory Lawn might be too big for the audience were soon dispelled – the entire day was well attended – and quite right too. The programme was wide in scope, interesting beyond expectation and rich in humour. Angela V. John and Peter Finch made welcome returns setting a high standard for the morning which Holly Muller and Richard King – with guest poets – maintained it in the afternoon.
What a successful day – in the splendid setting of the Priory Hotel grounds – in our much admired “Dowds” marquee.
