During the months of June and July in pursuit of our theme, “That’s Entertainment”, there have been over twenty events including two Shakespeare dramas, fifty bands/musicians, three choirs, three poets, six authors, dancers, art, sculpture, crafts, exhibitions, the “All Wales Comic Verse Competition”, the “Schools’ Art and Poetry Awards”, and a “Farmers’ Market” (pause for breath).
The Festival has been wide in scope, big on ambition and high in quality – with most events free!
I think we can safely say it was a success.
For those who supported the Festival – too numerous to mention – we salute you! – The artists, performers, exhibitors; our sponsors and partners; our volunteers who answered “the call to arms”; our Committee Members who worked so hard for a year to make it all happen; our visitors from far and wide; and the Community of Caerleon who came together to create and enjoy their Community Festival. Thank you all!
Do not despair you do not have to wait a year – there are events for you in the Autumn –
Fake Thakery, Richard Digance, The Treorchy Choir and Belshazzar’s Feast –
